cinderella man

I was not into blogging lately, tinatamad ako..But I feel the need to write about my personal review about the movie Cinderella Man..Something nice to share naman after some terrible movies I watched recently.

Starred by Rusell Crowe, this was a story about a poor man, Jim Braddock, from the Great Depression Era who fought his own way to the boxing ring just to save his family from famine-- a touching memoirs about his life, his bravery to survive, his love for his wife and kids and his way to fame. In the end, Braddock found his way to success by winning a heavyweight champ title and defeating a fearless contender.

As for me, this is a must-see movie, it has a great plot given the fact that it is based from a true story. The actors' performances were superb, with Crowe and Zellwegger in it, no wonder it earned two nominations from international award-giving bodies. Not only it had touched my heart (especially the scene were Crowe had to beg money from the big bosses of boxing) but also tickled my bones with some funny parts. Good thing this movie has not have the same ending as Million Dollar Baby, it might not be that ok to watch..hehehe..Buti nalang..

BROTHERS GRIMM

An adventure-suspense-comedy story about two brothers: Will and Jake Grimm who at first deceive people by doing bogus exorcisms in places where mysteries were believe to be of existence. Soon enough, they were sent to solve a case of missing children in a cursed forest. They eventually found out that it was a genuine fairy tale mystery that requires genuine bravery. In the end, they had succeded and lived happily ever after with the townsmen.

The special effects were good. I give credits to an amusing storyline. And yea, also to the cutie Matt Damon.. :D
