not so lucky

My mom woke me up with a bad face breaking a bad news while I just got out of my dream world. I was still not in my state of mind when she said "ala ng show sa wowowee, dami namatay".. I immediately turned on the tv to watch the news, and a very disappointing, disgusting scene was being aired. Many people crying, shocked to what had happened earlier this morning.

About 20,000 estimated people flocked ULTRA to be a part of Wowowee's 1st anniversary, which, I assumed that our fellow underprivilege countrymen had had seen hope through the game show to get out easily from a miserable life. We can't blame them for risking their lives, regardless of the expected number of people that will be there, bahala na.. "malay mo nga naman..."

In this kind of situation, it's hard to pinpoint the main responsible for what happened. It's accident and it's no one's fault, but as I heard from prominent people being interviewed on TV, sana naagapan..

Around 70+ innocent lives were killed, burying their hopes to be the next millionaire with them 6 feet under the ground. This, I hope, should be an eye opener to everyone especially those who govern our country. This incident doesn't only show the whole world how poor our country is, with people relying their future with easy money, but also this shows how weak our administration is..

This isn't the time for blaming but contemplating on the things that's happening around us. People can't help to complain and find ways to ease the burden of being a poor forever. Right now, all we need is to be united in striving hard to save our diminishing country..

I wonder where Filipinos will be in the next five years...Oh, i'll still keep on wishing...
